Youngblood Welcomes Face Reality!

We have some exciting plans and a lot of releases slated for 2011 so it’s time to get moving and welcome a new band to the label…

Detroit’s Own Face Reality formed in early 2008. After recording a demo and their 2009 debut 7″ entitled “Positive Change” (Dead End Records) they buckled down for most of 2010 to write and record a six-song EP of incredible Straight Edge hardcore.

Face Reality cite Warzone, Turning Point, Youth Of Today and Mouthpiece as influences and they’ve been steadily working towards becoming the powerhouse that they are now. We are very honored to welcome another great band to the Youngblood roster.

Spring 2011 will see the release of Face Reality’s eponymous 7″ EP on Youngblood Records. Click here to listen to “Seeker” from the EP.

“We’ll stick together through the hard times.”

Pre-Orders

SACRED LOVE “S/T” PRE-ORDERS NOW
We’ve had this 7″ in the works all Summer and we’re happy to finally offer it up for pre-order. Limited to 500 copies, this 7″ is their demo mastered and cut at 45 RPM. 200 copies were pressed on purple vinyl and 300 were pressed on black. Grab one now or regret it in a few short months once everyone has realized what a powerhouse this band is. This is your heads up.

Baltimore’s Sacred Love, featuring members of Mindset, Brick and Praise, formed in November of 2009 and quickly recorded an incredible demo in February. They cite the Bad Brains, Cro-Mags and the early Dischord roster as influences and we also hear a bit of Burn and Beyond in their music. Sacred Love continue to write at a lightning fast pace and we will be announcing details regarding their follow up to the “S/T” 7″ next week. Stay tuned.

POLICE & THIEVES “BLIZZARD SESSIONS ’10″ CASSETTE PRE-ORDERS HAPPENING NOW
Police & Thieves had been demo-ing throughout the year in an effort to get the new material absolutely dialed before entering the legendary Inner Ear Studios to record their 12″ EP due out soon on Youngblood. One such session took place during the Blizzard Of 2010 and we liked the resulting recording so much that we decided to release it. We’re proud to bring you this session released on the proper format for all demos: the cassette.

The Police & Thieves “Blizzard Sessions ’10″ demo has been pressed up on pro-printed chrome audio cassettes and is strictly limited to 100 copies. Our once-abandoned imprint, Youngblood Vaults, has been resurrected to release this and possibly more upcoming demo cassettes.

“Blizzard Sessions ‘10” is a preview of what’s to come with Police & Thieves new 12” EP. Which, by the way, has been recorded and is currently in the mixing process!
